Ingredients
- 800g (2 lb) Frozen Hash Browns: shredded, thawed and squeezed dry
- 300g (10 oz) Smoked Turkey Breast: cubed
- 250g (9 oz) Cheddar Cheese: shredded, halal-certified
- 150g (5 oz) Cream Cheese: softened
- 120ml (ยฝ cup) Sour Cream
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) Olive Oil
- 80g (ยฝ cup) Onion: finely diced
- 2 cloves Garlic: minced
- 15g (ยผ cup) Chives: chopped
- 15g (ยผ cup) Parsley: chopped
- 2.5ml (ยฝ teaspoon) Smoked Paprika
- 2.5ml (ยฝ teaspoon) Black Pepper
- 2.5ml (ยฝ teaspoon) Salt
- 100g (3ยฝ oz) Panko Breadcrumbs
- 30g (1 oz) Parmesan Cheese: grated, halal-certified
- 15ml (1 tablespoon) Melted Butter
Instructions
- Prepare & Grease: Preheat oven to 190ยฐC (375ยฐF) and grease a 23 x 33 cm (9 x 13 in) baking dish.
- Sautรฉ Aromatics: Sautรฉ onion in olive oil until translucent, then add garlic and smoked paprika.
- Combine Base: Mix hash browns, turkey, half the cheddar, onion mixture, salt, and pepper.
- Make Herb Swirl: Whisk cream cheese, sour cream, chives, parsley, and remaining cheddar.
- Layer & Swirl: Spread hash brown mixture, drop swirl mixture, and gently swirl.
- Prepare Topping: Combine panko, Parmesan, butter, and salt.
- Bake: Sprinkle topping and bake for 45-50 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- Rest & Serve: Let rest for 10 minutes before serving, garnished with chives.
