Description

These Cherry-Almond Crescent Rolls are a delightful treat combining flaky puff pastry with sweet cherry and almond flavors, finished with a dark chocolate drizzle. They’re easy to make and perfect for any special occasion.

  • 150g (5oz) Cherry Jam, seedless preferred
  • 100g (1 cup) Almond Flour, finely ground
  • 50g (1/2 cup) Powdered Sugar
  • 30g (2 Tbsp) Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 30ml (2 Tbsp) Milk, whole or 2%
  • 1 tsp Alcohol-Free Vanilla Extract
  • 100g (3.5oz) Dark Chocolate (70% Cocoa, Halal), Chopped
  • 30ml (2 Tbsp) Coconut Oil
  • 20g (2 Tbsp) Sliced Toasted Almonds
  • 1 Large Egg, Beaten (for Egg Wash)
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pastry: Thaw puff pastry, smooth out creases, and cut into 8 triangles.
  2. Make Almond Cream: Combine almond flour, powdered sugar, butter, milk, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  3. Marble Filling: Gently swirl cherry jam with almond cream, aiming for a marbled effect.
  4. Assemble Crescents: Place filling on pastry triangles and fold into crescents, sealing edges.
  5. Egg Wash & Bake: Brush with egg wash and bake at 200ยฐC (400ยฐF) for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Make Glaze: Melt chocolate and coconut oil using a double boiler.
  7. Glaze & Garnish: Drizzle warm glaze over rolls and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
