  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Honey
  • 120g (1 cup) Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 60g (0.5 cup) All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp (5g) Smoked Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp (2.5g) Garlic Powder
  • 0.5 tsp (2.5g) Salt
  • 0.25 tsp (1.25g) Black Pepper
  • 2 Large Eggs, Beaten
  • โ‰ˆ2L (2 qt) Vegetable Oil for Deep-Frying
  • Fresh Cilantro Leaves, Chopped, for Garnish
  • 1 tsp (5g) Toasted Sesame Seeds (Optional) for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Make Chipotle Filling: Combine cream cheese, chipotle, lime zest, and juice. Mix until smooth.
  2. Stuff Cheese Cubes: Cut cheese into cubes and fill with chipotle cream. Seal well.
  3. Set Up Breading: Combine flour and spices. Whisk eggs. Place panko in a dish.
  4. Double Bread Bites: Coat in flour, egg, then panko. Repeat for extra crunch.
  5. Heat Oil: Heat oil to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF).
  6. Fry in Batches: Fry for 2-3 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  7. Make Lime-Honey Glaze: Simmer honey and lime juice for 2 minutes.
