- 500g (1lb) Halal-Certified Ground Beef
- 4 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 30g (2 Tbsp) Unsalted Butter
- 15ml (1 Tbsp) Olive Oil
- 1 Medium Onion, Finely Chopped
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 150g (5oz) Roasted Red Peppers, Drained and Chopped
- 200ml (ยพ cup) Heavy Cream, Divided
- 150g (5oz) Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
- 150g (5oz) Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
- 50g (ยฝ cup) Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 50g (ยฝ cup) Panko Breadcrumbs
- 2 Tbsp (โ 8g) Fresh Parsley, Chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 190ยฐC (375ยฐF) and grease a baking dish.
- Cook Penne: Boil penne until al dente, then drain.
- Sautรฉ Aromatics: Sautรฉ garlic and onion in butter and oil until fragrant.
- Brown Beef: Brown ground beef with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Make Pepper Cream: Blend roasted peppers and cream until smooth.
- Prepare Cheese Sauce: Make a roux, then whisk in cream and milk, and melt cheeses.
- Combine & Swirl: Toss pasta, beef, and cheese sauce; swirl in pepper cream.
- Assemble & Bake: Transfer to dish, dollop with cream, top with breadcrumbs & Parmesan.
- Bake to Perfection: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Rest & Serve: Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.
