  • 60 mL fresh lime juice, divided
  • 5 g sea salt
  • 30 g finely minced red onion
  • 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 8 g chipotle powder
  • 5 g smoked paprika
  • 15 mL agave nectar
  • 15 mL extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare Avocado Base: Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium mixing bowl. Add 45 mL (3 tablespoons) of the fresh lime juice and the sea salt. Using a sturdy fork or potato masher, mash the avocado to your desired consistency.
  2. Add Fresh Aromatics: Add the finely minced red onion and the chopped fresh cilantro to the mashed avocado base. Gently fold these ingredients into the spread until they are evenly distributed.
  3. Create Chipotle-Lime Paste: In a separate small bowl, combine the chipotle powder, smoked paprika, agave nectar, the remaining 15 mL (1 tablespoon) of fresh lime juice, and the extra virgin olive oil. Stir thoroughly until a thick, smooth paste forms.
